BRODY LANGLOIS, PHYSIOTHERAPIST
I am a graduate of the Queen’s University Masters of Science in Physical Therapy
program. Before this, I completed a Bachelor of Science honors specialization in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, where I graduated on the Dean’s honour list. I have a strong interest in sports therapy as well as everyday sprains and strains. My focus for physiotherapy is on using hands-on techniques, including soft tissue release and manual therapy, as well as therapeutic exercises, with the end goal of promoting normal function. I am a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, including the sports medicine, private practice and orthopaedic divisions.
I was born in Ottawa, but moved to the small town of Renfrew, in the Ottawa Valley, when I was 6 years old. I moved to the Durham region in 2015 after completing all my schooling to begin my work as a physiotherapist. I am an avid snowboarder and curler in the winter. I am a certified snowboarding instructor with the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors, and enjoy teaching friends and family in my spare time. During the summer, I enjoy spending time with family and friends at my family cottage. I am also a certified scuba diver, and have been on several Caribbean diving adventures including a dive with sharks in Bahamas.
Do you have pain that just doesn't seem to be going away? Do you always feel stiff and sore and don't know what to do? Let me take a look and complete an assessment to see what you need to get back to a pain-free life.
Do you have a sprain or strain of a muscle or joint from a sporting incident? I can assess where the damage is and provide a comprehensive treatment plan to help you recover and return to your sport as quickly as possible.
Whether you have had knee surgery, shoulder surgery, or anything outside or in between, I can help you. Post-surgical rehabilitation involves regaining range of motion, strength, and function by following general guidelines, and modifying these guidelines to each persons individual needs.
Motor Vehicle Accident Therapy
Did you know that car insurance companies provide insurance coverage for physiotherapy after a motor vehicle accident? If you have been in an accident, and have pain, anywhere from slight neck pain, to broken bones, I can help relieve your pain and improve your day to day life through therapy.
